Meet SCREAM ... Our Mascot!

It all began that strange Christmas many, many years ago.  The nativity had been set up in the church and nothing was creeping not even a mouse ...  or was there something there that evening?  Who knew, but as this weird silence set in Fr. Joe made his way to the church.  As he entered he was amazed to see something that can only be described as the unexplainable!

Could it have been a miracle of Christ?  By some chance did God come down and leave money all over?  No, this was something bigger than that.  As Fr. Joe studied the nativity that is where he saw the strange occurrence.

Mixed in with the nativity was aliens and then there was a big SCREAM !!!  No Fr. Joe did not yell out in fear, but instead a huge 8 foot inflatable Scream stood before his eyes left there as a joke, by his priest friend Father Hercek who was visiting from California.   Scream is actually from a famous painting by "Edvard Munch", a Norwegian painter born in 1863.  The painting was created in 1893 and because of the obvious was entitled "Scream".

From there on Scream was adopted by Rich and began to grow on the Youth Group.  He would make sneak appearance at events, fundraisers, and other things held by the Youth Group.

After months of guest appearances Scream obtained a permanent place in the Youth Group as a mascot and the rest as they say is history.
