An Invitation for Conversion and
Full Initiation into the Church
Jesus said to his disciples,
"I will ask the Father
to send you the Holy Spirit
who will help you
and always be with you."
John 14:15
R.C.I.A.
The Beginning of the Journey of Faith
The intention of the Church is for all members to be fully initiated through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. This participation is a gift to our faith community. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) provides the necessary preparation for the conversion and full initiation into Catholic Church.
Please pray for our faithful
brothers and sisters over the coming months and reach out to them as fellow members of the Household of Christ.
Consider extending this invitation to others, to join this journey of faith to “catch-up” or begin to learn about the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. For more information, please call Father Joe or
Father Lito at the Rectory.
Jesus said to them,
"Come and you will See!"
John 1:39

Parish Records
Registering as a member of our parish is an important aspect of our Catholic community life. It is an opportunity to identify our parishioners and allow us to serve our parish community accordingly. In doing so, we will be able to recognize the needs of our parishioners and provide the services our families may require.
We invite you to register or simply update our
parish records with your new address, phone or a
family member’s name change by picking up the form in the Church vestibule. The form is also available on our parish website's homepage.

Salesian Sisters’ Centennial Corner
1920’s-The Salesian Sisters’ family kept growing. More space was needed! The young women asking to join the community needed a place to live; young people needed a school in which to learn; poor children needed a place to live. Our Lady Help of Christians would not leave her daughters abandoned. The Muhr Estate in North Haledon, NJ, became available to the Sisters and became home for the Sisters. This property, now, Mary Help of Christians Academy, still serves as the center of the life and ministry of all the Sisters.

Another Reason To Use Your Weekly Offertory Envelopes
With the new IRS tax rules they forbid tax deductions for charitable donations unless the donor can prove the donation through receipts or other financial records. Previously, the IRS allowed the personal notes: diaries or bank registers as proof that a $5, $10 or $20 donation was made. In New Jersey, more than 40% of the 4.1 million tax returns filled annually took advantage of itemized deductions. Using weekly offertory envelopes enables the parishes to provide a statement of deductions at the end of the year, which satisfies the new IRS deduction requirements. Won't you pick your envelopes up today!

Common Courtesy
God sees and knows all about each of us, we don’t necessarily need to see and know all. Please dress appropriately respecting yourself, one another, and the Lord. Beeping pagers, blinking Bluetooth earpieces and ringing cell phones have no place sounding off at Mass. Please silence all equipment before you enter the church. Thank you.
